Chiara - Assistant MD |
Chiara Lisowski
Chiara was appointed as Assistant Musical Director to the Fireflies in September 2014. During this time, she has supported the choir with sectional rehearsals to learn and improve upon harmonies, introduced new singing exercises, and has also stepped up to the conducting platform for several concerts - both solo and in conjunction with Georgie. |
Music was an early interest for Chiara, learning the violin from the age of 5 and singing in a choir as soon as she was at school. She went on to study BA Music with Italian studies at the University of Birmingham, majoring in Singing.
Since university, Chiara has performed in a variety of community plays and musicals with Chester-based Theatre in the Quarter, and led a small choir at her place of work in 2016. She is committed to furthering her musical education and has taken two Sing for Pleasure Conducting courses to develop her conducting skills, and is also learning the piano. She loves singing and is very grateful for the opportunity to work with the Fireflies, who are in turn very grateful to have Chiara!
